Iron-Coupled DHT Line-Preamplifier

The finest DHT line-stage available today. Bearing a striking resemblance to the Transcendence DHT Amplifier wasn’t simply good enough, this piece was designed expressly to ENHANCE the qualities of the Transcendence Amplifier. It was no easy task to improve upon the sonic qualities of the Transcendence DHT Amplifier powered by the iconic Western Electric 300b, the RCA-50, PX25, Ed (Industrial-based AD1) or coming next year… the 811a T-DHT output tube. And yet, here it is, the ultimate expression of what the musicians intended can now be realized. Available in the original configuration featuring 01a driver/71a output tube compliment, the euro-tube version: RE084 driver/RE134 output OR the new V2 version featuring the 101D driver/205D “Tennis-Ball” tubes.

Inspiration for this new addition to the Line-Preamplifier stable came from two disparate sources….. Don Sachs and his amazing body of work, and, having won an auction for several dozen N.O.S. Type 56 “Super-Triodes” from the estate of a highly-renowned tube-hoarder. Another collaboration with Gordon Rankin (Wavelength Audio) and Per Lundahl (custom loading-coils), featuring a proprietary high-voltage, DC regulator designed by Mr. Rankin specifically for this application, “balanced” AC, choke-filtered filament supplies for the 56’s with enough current to allow substitution of the Type “27” tube (at lower gain, but higher “cool-factor”…., who doesn’t like Mesh-Plate globes?), Input-Transformer coupling and the very same, Khozmo remote volume rotary encoder as employed in the Iron-Coupled DHT Line-Preamplifier.
